The Eagle

THE ASK:

Design a restaurant that is rustic and moody, a fun space to eat fried chicken in, while at the same time incorporating subtle hints of a post office, the original space from 1911.

CHALLENGES:

The restaurant exists in two buildings. There were two entrances, different ceiling heights, and a structural wall dividing the space.

THE ANSWER:

Special attention was given to unite the two spaces. One set of doors became the entry, and the other designated to the patio doors. The ceiling was clad in wood to give a uniform appearance. The center structural wall was opened as much as possible and a u-shaped bar added to connect the two spaces.
