THE ASK:

In May 2010, Nashville was hit with record rains. The famous Opry House filled 46" high of water when the Cumberland River rose 12ft above flood stage. A re-design of the 2,700sqft store needed to be done quickly so it could be up and running again.

CHALLENGES:

On short notice, a site survey and evaluations were conducted to see what could be salvaged from the flooded store. Timeline was compressed so material, furniture and lighting lead times needed to be accounted for.

THE ANSWER:

Taking full advantage of an empty shell, the cashwrap was relocated to allow for better customer circulation. Taller perimeter fixtures with storage above were designed to max out the merchandise and fill the expansive height. Custom branded graphics are found throughout, bringing the energy of Opry music into the retail environment.
