THE ASK:

Convert an empty shell that used to be a gym into an upscale, yet approachable, Italian restaurant. 

 

CHALLENGES:

The space needed to serve many functions: casual bar, cocktail/happy hour, dining, and private meeting space.

 

THE ANSWER:

Having the bar in the center of the space allows it to become the main focal with cascading plants above.  The materials throughout are muted in greys, blacks and whites in order to give attention to the vibrant colors of the Italian dishes. The storefront opens to the outdoor patio space and customers can enjoy a high-top table with an artistic installation of 200 dancing lights.
